Patronage: requirements & benefits

Updated: January 12th, 2016

Over a thousand years ago at the time of the Great Cataclysm that tore Sarnaut apart into allods', there lived twelve Great Mages who sacrificed their very lives to protect others. Centuries passed before the people who had survived could discover and reconnect with the spirits of the twelve Great Mages whose power remained in the Astral Space. They are known as the Twelve Great Martyrs.

Now all who wish to accept the knowledge and power of a Patronage will have to perform a small ritual and one of the twelve will choose you.

League player receives first Patronage level at level 4 from a quest given by Anastasia Yahontova on Evermeet Isle.

Empire player receives first Patronage level at level 4 from a quest given by Igor Pisakin in the Old Square of Nezebgrad.

Priden receives first Patronage level at level 4 in the Thicket of the Primals, Howlem - no quest needed.

Requirements

Incense is required to activate the patronage blessing. Notice that without an active blessing, you can't use martyr skills and won't receive benefits.

There's a daily quest "Regular Customer" that rewards with one 24h lasting Incense and 10 mount feeds. Doing that means you won't ever have to buy Incense from Item Shop.

Mirra is required to use martyr skills. The amount of Mirra needed to use the skills increases as both your patronage and patron levels grow.

You can buy Mirra from all Keepers of the Light npcs with gold = a vendor next to a place where you re-spawn after death.

Patronage / patron levels & differences + Martyr skills

There are 5 patronage levels in Allods. First 4 are gained through questing and the 5th from Item Shop.

Patronage level 1 is gained at level 4 from (Evermeet Isle (League), Old Square (Empire) and Howlem (Priden)). Skill learned is Martyr's Salvation = restores all Health and Mana/Energy. Takes 15 seconds out of combat. Movement or damage will interrupt the skill. Notice: Priden doesn't receive the Martyr's Salvation skill before level 8 and a quest The Power of Martyrs in Howlem.

Patronage level 2 is gained at level 15 from (Cape of Good Hope, Siveria (League), ZIT Headquarters (Empire) and Yao Realm, Howlem (Priden)). Skill learned is Martyr's Gift = instantly heals 20%.

Patronage level 3 is gained at level 23 from faction's camp in Asee-Teph. Skill learned is Martyr's Guidance = instantly gives 20% Mana or 40 Energy.

Patronage level 4 is gained at level 31 from Zosim Coast in Eljune. Skill learned is Martyr's Protection = instantly cancels all control and movement impairing effects. (Good in PvP).

Unlike Patronage level, the Patron level can reach as high as your character can level and it consumes Mirra. Current max. is 70. Each time you use any of the 4 skills that require Mirra, mainly Salvation, you gain experience that slowly levels your patron. The higher it is, the better Vigor stat bonus you receive. You can't level patron above your character's current level. (I.e. if you are level 32, you can't have level 33 patron.)

Tip: Start to level your patron level immediately after receiving patronage at level 4. With each level it becomes harder and harder to level and it will fall behind from your character's level very quickly.

Patronage level 5 is obtained via Item Shop by first accepting two quests given by:

Irina Astralova at Lightwood Dock, League

Vlad Astralin, Nezebgrad Port, Empire

In the first quest "Holy Symbols" you need to hand in 10 000 Holy Symbols. You have to buy Patronage Boxes from Item Shop. It randomly gives 10 to 50 Holy Symbols per box.

Since one box costs 35 crystals (3,50 €), the price is between 70 € to 350 €.

Players have said it has taken them an average of 9000 crystals, which is 90 € and 257 Patron Boxes.

Combining 100 Holy Symbols gives you temporary Patron level 5 for 2 hours.

After the 10 000 Holy Symbols, the quest will reward you a Sacred Rune. The second quest requires this Sacred Rune that you can make a voyage to the Forgotten TempleThen you will receive the Patronage level 5, which is a must in competitive PvP.
